I recently obtained a 1935 $1 Silver Certificate signed by Mel Ott. I am thinking of getting this certified, as if it is real, it would be quite a find. The sig looks good against the exemplars I have found online, but I am not an expert on his lines and his signature seems a bit on the easy side to forge if it was practiced. What does anyone think on this? Should I fork the $100 for PSA/DNA?

I think its good.

So its worth the PSA/DNA then?

are you going to resell it?  if not, then what is the point of spending the money?

Just to insure I can resell if I have a need to move my collection.

then you should spend the money if it gives you piece of mind.

Thanks for the advice, I just worry about shelling the $200+ to get the item certified and it come back rejected. I think its real too, but never can be sure.

I would get a PSA on it.  If nothing else it would increase the value.
