this is real, and the the cheapest price for one of these litho's that i have seen in years. granted it is one of the crude ones in the set, it is still real, and a great price.

thanks! still rather pay 1.5x for pristine condition. what do these normally go for?

they are for sale on ebay all the time, but i only see the crude ones up and people try to sell them for $3000.00 or so but i never see them sell for that. if you get one of the others that are not so crude $2500.00 to $3000.00 would be about right.

i did not read the details of this litho, hence the water damage, and that would explain the price.

so what is the right price for something real and pristine then?

most of the bag one lithographs sell for around $2000-$2500 (ebay) but most sellers are always asking for $3000+ which usually dont sell. this one is going for cheap because of the water damage obviously. i personally would never buy this one for that price because of the damage. i know the not so "crude" ones seemed to be offered for a lot more but dont sell for the usual asking price for them (seen a few sellers try to sell them for $5000+)

interesting item.  signature matches the time frame for Lennon, probably real.

i have read up on the Bag one series lithographs and supposedly they are all hand signed by Lennon himself! i think there were 300 Bag one white leather suitcase like cases that held 14 different lithographs in each case, all individually numbered. so if my math is right he signed a total of around 4200. that is a lot which is why i always questioned weather or not he actually signed ALL 4200! if anyone has heard any background info on the signatures from the bag one series, authentic or not, i would love to know! so far all the ones i have seen for sale look authentic to me!

This one is good, though its a nasty picture, however at that price, the signature alone is worth the price, it could be cut out as the litho is water damaged anyway...I know no one likes to cut these up but its just an idea !
