Does anyone know about hepburns signing habits. Did she use auto pens on her refusal letters because why would she say I don't sign in a typed letter then sign the bottom??? The back of most letters are protruding like it was bared down on hard like an autopen. Any help or opinions are appreciated! Thanks

Have never seen a Hepburn autopen. In her later years, she was a very gracious signer, even when she refused to sign! The letter offered may be a little steep, tho'...

I have something somewhat similar. I'll post it up here later.

I think this is legit.

i just checked on Heritage Auctions and a couple similar to these sold for around $100 in 2001.

So $200 sounds reasonable, but $400 seems steep. I would list mine today at around $200. Hope this helps.

my example from the late 80's

She from what i gather detested signing photos but was very willing to sign letters to her fans, I think the only real signed photos from her are all rather early, hope this helps!

She would only sign photos for close friends and relatives. She felt that if someone was going to hang a signed photo of her in their home, she wanted to know who they were.

The eBay auction item is authentic in my opinion.
