Looks like a common ACE/GAI forgery.
the signature is a fake, and I think the PSA sticker is also fake. whoever is selling this is a typical ebay scammer
Looks like PSA/DNA might have blown this one. The authentication number shows to match this Rivera autograph baseball on their web site.
I dont think the perpetrator would be dumb enough to use a cert number that didnt match a mariano signed baseball. I still think its questionable. the sticker looks too big.
It specifies a gold stitched Selig baseball on their web site which matches this item. Looks more likely that they indeed authenticated this ball.
could be. then they did indeed blow it.
I am awaiting word from PSA/DNA on this, will update when I hear something back.
Do they actually reply? What do they usually say? Genuinely curious. This is a pretty common fake to have slip through.
I have helped PSA/DNA out with scammers in the past and have spoken with Joe Orlando several times. Hopefully I will get a response.
My guess:
1. Fake PSA/DNA cert
2. This slipped through before this forgery style became super popular
I vote for number 2
I agree with Terrier. I also doubt if you hear anything from Orlando in this case.
I have a lot of confidence in PSA/DNA but it looks like this time they made a mistake and I think they are very unlikely to admit it.
It will be interesting to see if you get a response.
