"Ryan,

I appreciate you reaching out with the email.

On the baseball, our staff does not believe it is a scam so my suggestion would be - if you don't like the signature, don't buy it.

Sometimes, reasonable people can disagree on autographs, grades, etc.

Our staff has many examples, especially from late last year, where Mariano started signing more "sloppy" for his standards (usually you can make out virtually every letter of his name).

I am not asking that you agree with them, I am simply passing long the opinion…and you are certainly entitled to yours."

well, ok then, I won't buy it!

Yup, I get that same response alot when I message a forgery seller!

I guess they don't dare admit they made a mistake, not very comforting.

I agree, especially when they are thought of as pretty reliable

Ryan,  PSA (and JSA for that matter) both suck at authenticating Yaz signatures. I have seen many obvious Yaz forgeries with both companies stickers on them.  I really don't understand it.

Does not surprise me which is why I prefer my items with no cert at all. It's not us here who suffer from these certed forgeries.

so was this the reply from PSA??? thats pretty defensive and rude... That sounds like an ebayer response when you ask them about the authenticity of what they are selling?

I was thinking maybe the person had figured out a way to reprint coa stickers with numbers on them from other Rivera balls.. guess not

That's a very interesting response. Is that from Joe Orlando? If Joe can't look at that signature and think something is wrong then he really needs his eyes checked..

So I'm curious if PSA/DNA authenticated this how does it make it any better than the Riveras that Global certed? If someone bought a Mariano ball with a Global cert and took it to PSA/DNA are they going to authenticate it based on their "Examples"?

I'd like to pole everyone on this site that has ever gotten an in person autograph, Has 1 person ever seen anyone from PSA/DNA or JSA getting in person signatures? I'm curious who's "Examples" they use especially when it seems like signatures are all over the board sometimes. So where do these "Examples" come from? Good thing I don't buy signatures based solely on the COA and neither should anyone after seeing this and the lame response from PSA/DNA.

Has 1 person ever seen anyone from PSA/DNA or JSA getting in person signatures?

I know I have met (in passing) people from all 3 companies getting autographs in person (PSA, JSA, and Global).
