Johnny Depp

Hi I'd really appreciate any opinions on this Johnny Depp. I've asked about it before but didn't get a response. Alternatively does anyone know a reliable source I can get a quick opinion from? I believe Psa only does quick opinions for Ebay items. Thanks a lot.

I've seen a lot of his sketches but not one like this. To be honest I don't know how anyone could authenticate this unless they witnessed it in person. It has some authentic traits but is a real one off so I honestly don't know.

Yeah, tough to say. If you compare the sig to the one below there are some things that are similar, but the lines also go in different directions in some cases. Which could make sense if he is just kind of scribbling, but makes authentication difficult for sure.

BTW, I personally don't like PSA quick opinion, I feel like it is some college kid spending 4 minutes searching the internet for exemplers. I feel like anyone could do better on their own. For $10 I am not impressed with that service.

I would be 60/40 authentic on this piece, but like others, I am not sure. This would be very difficult to forge and would take some creative instincts to draw an image like this. It also seems to fit Depp's quirky style. It seems to flow, but it is also an image never seen before and the autograph is sloppy so like others have said, it's hard to tell.

In terms of quick opinion, it is very unreliable and I never use it. I've actually done a quick opinion on some of my own items on ebay that were turned down(ones I received in person) but then got the thumbs up from Roger Epperson(an Axl/Slash signed appetite cd booklet, a drumhead signed by all of GNR, a Michael Jackson signed album, to name a few) just to test the system.

Your best bet is usually asking here first.

Thanks for your opinions guys. I might just sent it to Psa and see what they say although it'll be quite an expensive lesson if it comes back not genuine. I see a lot of similarities to other sketches I've seen. Here's another sketch I found on Ebay:
