Single Signed vs. With Inscriptions, vs STAT Signed Balls.

Ok so I have another discussion (kind of like the one about mini helmets.. I still dont get those hahah) but anyway Id like to here everyones opinions and attitudes toward baseballs.

I want to keep this discussion about the following.  I have many many single signed baseballs all on the sweet spot.  I also have baseballs with inscriptions such as HOF 88 or 85 WS champs etc.  but I also have a few balls that are signed with a players statistics on them. I personally LOVE THESE!  Im not talking about 2 or 3 stats when I mean stat balls Im talking about 5-15 stats about that player signed by that player..

Now we all know that a single signed ball most of the time will be less expensive than inscribed but what about stat balls? Should a collector if possible buy stat balls over inscribed or single signed balls??

Will this be more desirable in the long run or do single signed/1 inscription balls tend to be the more desired later out.  I really love stat balls but they are a little more pricey and want to know if its worth all the trouble and money?  I know some of it is personal preference but what about financially?

Id love to hear opinions about this.

Thanks

Well the rarity of these will make it worth more.  A player signs only his name to a ball way more times than signing a stat ball.

personally, I do not like stat balls.  everyone is different.

I`m actually with you on that terrier.  I would much rather have a single signed sweet spot of my favorite players.  But to each his own.

Can you explain why you have the reason you do. If there is no reason just personal preference then that perfectly ok.  But if you have a reason or have had an experience with which why you dislike or like stat balls over ssb, then I would love to hear it.

I like clean baseballs with just the signature, or a short inscription.  It really is just a personal thing. I never bought into the stat thing. even if they were the same price as a single signed ball, I would not go for them.

I like 1 inscription underneath their name on the sweet spot. Anymore than that I feel no one is ever going to read it anyway. Financially it increases the value, but how much depends on the player. I've never seen a Mantle "stat" ball but in his case that ball would be worth 3-4x a normal SS ball IMO.

Photos I'm ok with some more inscriptions, but that is purely preference.

I actually ran across a mantle stat ball today I forgot how many I think it was 3-5 and it was going for I believe 3999.99.  I was scanning, I didnt even click on it because of the price.

Yeah I figured it would go up quite a bit... Even just a "No. 7" inscription goes for quite a bit more than his normal name sig.

I just like the "HOF" or "ENTER SANDMAN" or "DONNIE BASEBALL" underneath their autograph, I think they're cool but any more than that seems cluttered and no one sees it.
