Ebay autograph account being shut down due to rights?

So I had bought from EZgraphs many different times as they offered some great pieces for even better prices.

However, I went to their store today and noticed everything was taken down(over 3k items). This account had 100% positive feedback with over 19,000 reviews. He was very well established and seemed to be providing exceptional customer service.

I just emailed the paypal address of the guy asking about what happened and if he will be opening a new account and got this for a response:

"I don't think I can- too many celebs and athletes are having verified rights owners sign up on ebay- which means they are exclussive agents and having memorabilia pulled that isn't from them- in the mean time http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFul...

We will be using amazon

Sent from my iPhone"

Has anybody else heard of this before? Does this mean the in person autograph sellers on ebay with a bunch for sale such as skylinesignatures who I buy from will eventually be taken down? Sure this could take down some forgers, but usually forging accounts are smaller accounts which ebay would not care about.

Thanks,

Kevin

I have looked at the selection from EZ Graphs myself on ebay for, and i was not impressed. I saw some that looked okay, but others looked quite a bit off. I would suggest having some of your items checked out, or ask about them here on the forum. I tend to agree with Tony.
I submitted a Lady Gaga signed pickguard to PSA that passed. I also submitted an Aerosmith signed album, and a Cam Newton signed football that all passed inspection from JSA. I also had another album looked at by Roger Epperson who stated it was authentic. I also purchased a Metallica signed pickguard whom I had members of the board look at and it had a unanimous consensus of authentic. I'll post the photos.

I'm confident in the authenticity of the items I have purchased from them. I do my research before buying all my autographs so I'm not too concerned about authenticity.

I'm however questioning the whole rights claim? Is this something that somebody has heard before?

Also forgot about this Tobey Maguire that I sent to PSA.

I'm not really concerned about the authenticity of the items I purchased. I'm more concerned about ebay shutting accounts down due to rights. It could help the hobby, but I also feel it could raise a ton of issues for legit sellers.

Oh and one last one I have as a gift to my best friend, again, that I submitted to PSA.

IMO, Metallica looks good

IMO, Aerosmith looks good

If an Athlete/Celebrity/agent/attorney etc  fills out the proper paperwork with eBay for the VeRO program they can have any and every item with their name on it removed from eBay if they feel like it and this is no matter if its authenticated or not. technically if you don't have anything in writing from that Celebrity stating you can resell the item then eBay can pull everything down if the VeRO members wants them to and there is nothing you can do about it unless you contact the VeRO member. There is a whole section on this in the eBay policies.

Thanks Jason for the response! That explains it. Never heard about this until now. Just peaked my curiosity.
