I've been a long time Fanmail.biz member, but lately, the entire site has gone to [expletive].

The average member there seems incapable of sentence comprehension, as they've dubbed me a troll for saying things that they admit to not actually reading (though their responses indicated that as well).

Any of y'all a member? What're your thoughts on the way the site has gone down?

I've looked over a few pages, I'm really wondering whether everyone there is legitimate in the sense that they only sell autographs they receive TTM.

Some sell; a strong majority do not.

Most are novice collectors, who seem quite young and uneducated, both about the hobby and the world in general. They see what they want to see, both in the authenticity of the autographs and the responses that they get.

I got banned in March for emailing the site administrators to express my concerns as to how the site had changed for the worse and people did not post addresses when having success or were simply trying to sell items. I now used Star Tiger, which is not perfect but have not had any issues so far

Unfortunately MIke, i agree completely. I have used the site as a resource at various times, and there was some good info there. The major problem i had, was that the collecting knowledge seemed to be very small. Dont get me wrong, there were some pros there, and you speak as if you know your stuff, but, there was one member in particular i remember, a guy i think who posted as a girl, under the name dancinggirl, or something like that. This person tried to control every single thread, and most of the time, the obvious secretarials were deemed authentic by "her", and you could never try and dispute things, as the conversations never got anywhere. I knew there were some very educated members there, but it seemed towards the end of my stay there that dancinggirl had taken over every thread, and that every TTM sig coming in was being deemed authentic. And we are talking sigs like John travolta, Johnny Depp, etc. So i stopped even looking there. Hopefully the admin will get it under control

I hear you Mike, thats another one of the reasons i didnt like that guy at all. He had to play king of the mountain in every thread, even if he had nothing to addd. Plus pretending to be a girl is kinda strange to start with. in any event, im glad your here now helping the website out.

Ill check out that thread in a bit

From me reading that and having a good laugh, it looked like you were the one starting and continuing the trouble.
That's what it looks like to me anyway.

I used to use it quite often, I never got into it with any of the trolls over there. I simply posted my successes for others to see.

One thing I noticed is that everyone is incredibly offended when you tell them their "success" is a pre-print, secretarial, or just plain garbage. It's laughable.

Agree. When you tell them it is fake, it is like WWIII. That p***** me off. You want the legit stuff, not fakes!!!

Poor you Mike, that is BS

I left that website long ago when I told others that Ali was sending out autopens. I got like 15 messages telling me I was wrong (most were selling theirs of course) . So I got to photoshopping and overlayed my TTM request from Ali 2 years prior to the recent "successes" and showed it was an exact match to several of the ones that were for sale. There attitude was basically that people signatures dont change that much....Now keep in mind this was while Ali's signature changed drastically due to his fight with Parkinson's disease so his signature looked NOTHING like his autopen in years at that point.

I found this pretty amusing. The orignal poster of this thread says he's "officially out" claiming he'll never go back to fanmail.biz. Well he went back and denies he created this thread or even heard of this website. LOL

Just checked it out Cory, and it does look like Mike returned. Probably changed his mind and took a break from the site for a while. It happens. Why he denied it, who knows. But i'll tell you what that thread showed me, and anyone else who happens to venture there to read it, is that, there are truly some low life scumballs on that forum.

Its obvious that there is ongoing drama with some of the posters, but one complete insecure goon by the name of "the artist", was encouraging Mike to kill himself!!!!! What type of behavior is that, especially if its from a grown man. I sure hope its a kid saying that crap, because if he is an adult he truly is a sorry individual. Any Admin worth 2 cents would have banned that guy the instant he encouraged suicide. There is no place for that on the net, nor in real life. And this is on an autograph site, that is just sad.

What a ridiculous statement to make. And i believe i read where that individual said he comes here and reads the blogs daily. Well then i assume you will read this. Why dont you come here and tell us all about your need to encourage others to commit suicide on a public autograph forum b/c you dont like there posts? Im sure the members here would love to leave you encouraging commentary.
