Now you know that number 1,548,442 was fired for failing to authenticate a forgery

I agree with Ace, but I do look for GAI because they were once very reputable and there are a lot of solid authentic pieces Authenticated by GAI and I also understand that there are issues of late, and because of those issues I can usually get them at bargain prices and have them Authenticated. This hobby is flooded with fakes, Why not salvage the Authentic pieces and get them back to respectability by having another 3rd party Authenticate them? I love this hobby

Because even GAI passed truckloads of forgeries before going out of business. So if 1 in 25 are real I rather leave the picking to someone else. Its not worth it. Because if 2 of the other 25 are really well done now I got burnt if I pick one of them.
