You may want to drop him a line and I'm sure he'll look into this

I've seen a bunch of these checks. I don't think any of them are good. My opinion on them.

I am sorry but the Charles Manson checks are not likely authentic. This was shown and explained to the seller on more then one occasion.

They continue to be coming out of Colorado by the 100's and can be found on Stephen Koschal's website even though he explained the truth about these checks to me 5 years ago.

I do beleive Markus Brandes to be a very good and top respected dealer. He just like many, has trusted some of the wrong people in the industry.

Thanks Michael. I didn't think any of them were good. Appreciate your opinion on them.

None of the true crime memorabilia dealers ( some of them being people who have dealt personally with Manson for years )have offered these signed checks for sale. The item that they do sell usually come with photographs of themselves with Manson and/or has an envelope with the prison stamp from Corcoran State Prison in California if the signature was obtained through mail correspondence.

This next one is not one from my collection , but is very real.

hello, how did you respond? you wrote at the prison x charles manson and he answered you? cabbages, what luck, I also wanted to try it myself but I'm Italian and I do not know who put stamps in the envelope for the reply (if arrives)

It doesn't look good to me either. Most of the real Manson signed photos I've seen are polaroids taken in the prison visiting room , 4x6 photos , or photographs that have ripped out of magazines. 8x10s seem to be few and far between.

However , there was a guy by the name of Shawn Jackson who corresponded with Manson for a while and I know that a lot of his collection has been sold over the years. I have no idea to contact Jackson , but the few of his letters that sold on "murderabilia" websites appeared to be authentic.

Anyway , since Manson is one of the most desired names in "true crime" autograph collecting , there are and will be a ton of fakes out there. John Wayne Gacy is another that is often forged. Several pieces of non-authentic Gacy art sold on a popular crime hobby website for a total of almost two thousand dollars.

I have good experience with this guy. He is active more than 10 year
