In my latest Forbes post I don't begrudge the retired baseball players for charging for their autographs, but do draw the line at them charging for being photographed with you.

Awesome story James, would love to see the photo!

I was at a Georges St-Pierre paid signing here in Los Angeles a few months ago. The organizer was charging additional $90,00 for a picture taken with their high resolution camera on a 8 X 10 print. I greeted GSP and had a nice conversation with him. He stood up and shake my hands after I greet him. I had the usher to help me capture the signing. After the signing, I asked GSP whether I can get a picture with him and he happily obliged. 


This is why I basically abandoned sports collecting.  The pricing has gone from high to obscene, and I always laugh when people characterize it as a good investment or "fair."
