I have seen numerous discussions on pens, but none specific to records.

Curious what people's preferences are for black/blue and metallic markers?  Mind you, this is all largely dependent on cold or hot weather being present and the finish (glossy or matte) of the album cover.

I'm looking for something consistent, that visually stands out.  Sharpies have not been great.

Thanks!

Any pen or marker that John lennon signed a lp with is fine with me.

What you use depends on the album.
Deco pens and sharpies are what I use, color depends on the album.

Talking to a friend about this tonight. Sharpie oil based paint pens are excellent. I'm using them for a glossy black album cover soon.

TFIVE permanent paint marker pens are great. These pens can write on paper, cardboard, and even wood, but they also work on non-porous surfaces. I've used them on glass, pottery, and vinyl, and they've all turned out great.
