How safe is it to buy Autographs from overseas? (Germany/Switzerland)

Has anyone bought an autograph from Germany or Switzerland or another country than the USA? I've bought autographs from US and UK but as far as Switzerland, Germany or anywhere else (except Canada) Non Autographed items I've bought from China and Hong Kong those items came in fine. I'm skeptical buying from there because I don't know how long it'll take to get to the US and also I don't even know if it would arrive here at all.

Theres some very good dealers in those countries like markus brandes is around there.

Yeah I know, he has an item I'm looking to buy along with a couple of others from another seller.

It should be fine ask him how he ships
I always have to find out if the seller can declare low duty on the customs so i dont get hit with a tax bill, some make you sign a disclaimer for damages in the process of shipping because its not covered for the full amount or if its mark as a gift i dont think its covered at all.

Bought a authentic autograph from Russia, was approved by Mr. Epperson, took 3 weeks to arrive to Canada.

I've bought from two such dealers in the past: rb-autogramme-berlin (Roland Bruckner;Germany) and rrautographs (Rolf Ramseier; Switzerland). Both are considered top-notch IP graphers and I would gladly buy from them again.

That's the other seller I'm going to buy from. "rb-autogramme-berlin" He has a couple of autographs I want.

To my understanding, he's very well regarded. Good luck!

As for your concerns re:shipping, the items arrived very quickly in Canada. I'd say buying from these sellers is as safe as it gets.
I can fully recommend Roland/rb-autogramme-berlin!

I have bought many items from him, including a signed sketch from Bono (one of my favorite items) that you can see here:

and everything has always been great; communication, the item, price and shipping!

Markus Brandes is top-class too!!

Regardless of the country, it all pretty much comes down to individual sellers.

Postal services are another matter of course, with most Western (UK, Germany) and Nordic (Sweden, Finland, etc.) countries being the safest bet. Some others (former Soviet Bloc, Mediterranean countries, etc.) seem to have more issues with damaged/lost shipments, in my experience.

+1

Especially regarding the Sweden part... ;-)
