Authenticity is Everything
Pantera poster signed by the band
I bought this on eBay almost ten years ago. It was supposably signed by the band including the Abbot brothers who have both passed away and of course the one and only Philip Anselmo. I’ve researched it and they look real to me but I’m curious before I try selling it.

I dont study Pantera, but Im leaning towards fake.
Look at the 2 sigs on the left side - Phils and ?
The writing and letter formation looks almost identical, no?
Besides that, Im not getting any “soul” looking at these sigs. They look uninspired and lack personality at best, IMHO.

Thanks for the reply, I never really looked at them until you mentioned this. But now that you say this. I see a difference. For instance the signatures on the left Phil Anselmo and Vinnie Paul, both P’s start in the opposite direction. Phil starts his P from the bottom and VP starts his normally from the top down. Do you see what I’m trying to explain?

I do, but what should be an “h” in Phil and an “a” in Paul look identical to me. Coincidence or sloppy forgery?
In this biz, Ive learned from others to assume fake until proven real. It really helps get to the bottom of things.
Perhaps the best you can hope for is a Pantera expert or authentic in-person examples to compare to. You could always get a quick opinion from Roger Epperson for $15.

When in doubt come here and ask for opinions before parting with your cash - alot of times you can find a better deal and something absolutely real from this community.

I couldn’t help myself. I already paid and submitted the poster to Rogers site. Thank you again and I’ll update this post as soon as I get a verdict.
I still want more opinions if anyone else views this in the meantime.

How much did you pay ? I dont think they are real to be honest. I have about 4 pantera fully signed and a dimebag from 2001. they all look really wrong on this one i think

I compared the signature from this time frame too and it matches up. I bought it for $150 back in 2009.

What did roger say about it? I can post some pictures of mine so you can see the different styles and changes over the years
