Is this John Lennon Worn and Signed Tie the Real Deal? And How Much Is It Worth?

Hi All -

Is this tie that was supposedly worn and signed by John Lennon in 1975 in Philly the real thing? What do you think of the picture of him holding it, the story of a fan having gotten it and the provenance letter, the signature etc? If its legit, how much do you reckon this thing is worth? Thanks.

Looks similar to the sigs he gave out then. Hard to judge value -- but I wouldn't pay the $6500 the ebay seller is asking though especially with the signature being inside the tie so you can't display it very well.
