Was  wondering if everything from Harold Ramis TTM was secretarial? I have a feeling this one might be? Thanks!

100% real

I sent to his address in the Chicago suburbs as well as met him in person.. guarantee that I know his signature well

Glad to know he was a good signer. Do you have an in person example for comparison? Thanks!

The one above was in person as well as these 2

The last time I met him was at this event.. he greeted everyone after and signed anything you had

Okay, thanks for the examples Jason!  Wish everyone signed so well nowadays, even at highly priced sit down signings! Haha

Very True. He seemed to take his time with all autographs when I met him. Especially with kids. He asked them a ton of questions and genuinely seemed interested. He really didn't seem like a celebrity at all in person. More like how I imagine meeting Kevin Smith would be in that you could actually have a real conversation without even knowing the guy. He wasn't there for his ego or for money. He was there for interactions with others and made sure everyone had a chance to say whatever they wanted

Trust me, I know ghostbusters autographs and have people who can vouch for that. I can spot a Dan Aykroyd secretarial a mile away when most people think its real. I cant remember her name, but I was in contact with one of his secretaries from the 80s. She confirmed a lot of my suspicions and helped me out a lot with learning his autograph. This was about 20 years ago and I did not document everything as well as I do now so all I have are stories. No actual proof.

As for Ramis, i monitored forums and autograph websites very closely from the mid 90s to 2010 before taking a long break.. ive never once heard of him sending preprints, autopens, or secretarial signatures at all. He was extremely accessible while he was still alive. TTM was spotty especially after the turn of the century but if you received a reply, it was always hand signed.

Great to have such a knowledgeable person on this topic on this site! Thanks for all the info!

So here’s one I’ve always wondered about, would you happen to know if this Dan Aykroyd is legit? Thanks!

Thats Legit as well. One of the best ways to differentiate a secretarial from his signature is, Dan has ALWAYS signed his "a"  in continuous clockwise circle. There are other ways as well not so subtle.

I always tell people to look at his cryptozoic ghostbusters auto card to compare. This has been his style of signature for most of this century. Shorter than it used to be, but still has the same traits

This Is an example of his secretarial TTM signature that has been misauthenticated. They definitely got this one wrong. Dan has never ever signed the A in Dan with regular style handwriting
