Help! Is this really Alan Rickman's Autograph??

Hi I'm Catherine and I'm looking for some help/advice. I know that within this community are those who have a lot of experience in identifying real and fake Alan Rickman autographs when they see it.

I'm a fan of the late Mr Rickman and unfortunately I never got to meet him in person. I wish I had. Anyway, to cut a long story short, last month I purchased (what I believe to be) Alan's autograph. It came from an auction house here in the UK. I've attached the link to the listing here:

I've also tried to take a close up photo of the autograph and I've attached that here as well.

Please can you cast your expert eye over the signature and let me know what you think?

I'm not too familiar with Rickman, but I do have doubts. It kind of looks like his sig, but it doesn't really fit in style and direction.

Besides, I do know it was very hard to get him to sign Harry Potter merchandise. I recall the story of an in-person hunter who once in a hotel bar tried to make him drunk so that hopefully he would sign some Potter stuff. Well, they both got really drunk, but Rickman didn't sign whatsoever.

Maybe you better ask before buying next time. Maybe it saves you a lot of money ...

Unfortunately I  dont think this is good.  Also it sold at a very low price. Rickman's sig if genuine sells for about £260-360 without commission at auction houses.  Also as Kaimi says he rarely signed H P merchandise

Hi, I really do not think this one is real even it is very close. I somehow do not like it and if it is on HP then I would be very carefull. I do not like "a" "r" and "i"  there.... but not 100% sure on this one.

Hey Sara, thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. I've sent it back as having listened to what you all have said and then looking really closely at the signature, I don't believe AR signed it either
