Hi, I recently purchased a Jeff Buckley autograph.  I'll be receiving it in a few days and I wanted a good authenticator to check it out.  The problem is, not many of them are familiar with his signature.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

My ad is flashing in your face to the right of the page!

So it is.  I guess that's a testament to how we adjust to block out ads.  But I shall be in touch, good sir.

No...everyone sees the ads! ;)

Signed in Belgium in 1995, so still fairly early on.

I'd say it looked pretty convincing but personally the 'B' in Buckley is a little sketchy, but I've seen some like it. also what is this signed on? That can effect the way people sign. Eg rougher paper more friction so a wee bit more drag on the pen. I'd be happy owning it with proof. A signed CD is more my taste. I had a chance for a brilliant poster but I decided not to.

Feels like a regular piece of paper, though I'm far from an autograph/paper expert. It looks like it may have been pulled out of a small notebook.  Perhaps he was holding it in his other hand, hence the rough B, but as you've said, I've seen some B's like that in Buckley autographs.

Well I would say its genuine. Jeff extensively toured Europe and Australia after grace and was well known to hang out with fans afterwards to sign autographs etc. But as I say, I'd much prefer a poster. The most common fake is anything that's signed 'sweet dreams and goodnight'. Jeff has very distinctive handwriting.

Sorry to be awfully late to this, I just had to reply about the 'sweet dreams' comment above, saying it's the most common fake. Well, what do you think of mine? Had it for over 10 yrs, bought from a woman that went to Jeff's concerts when he toured Europe. Pretty authentic I'd say... Anyone?
