Hey John, what a time you must have had. Attached is a signed philly program i have-did you see any of  these programs being signed?

video doesnt play. but backstage did see really any programs or posters being signed. there was a seperate hospitaly tent that the hardrock ran it was a vip tent that some the performers did wonder over to but u didnt have acces to backstage with a hardrock vip sticker,

i rember  them auction of some one of a kind hardrock live aid jackets for a lot of money there not sure what else.

backstage was  very from from the merch stands and it was very hot that day.so do think ant real stuff were signed there except maybe in the promoters office or at rehersals.

as u can see one guy is getting his t shirt signed .you really coudnt carry stuff for 16 hours and i even had access to an a/c trailer but we were partying for 3 days like no tommorrow if u get my drift it was the 80s.

try to play video now. It works for me

still not working

i think the guy behind mike love might be baba boey

this is weird cause hosted on this site, but here is a youtube link and again a live auto link

i watched it on my phone.

i have a programe. but never saw one signed backstage at all and would be very tricky to get done as around 7 pm the changed the creditails and people that had all acces all day didnt any more becuase of dylan zeplin and the stones .it changed real quickly ,also i shared a trailer with csny while they reahesed before they went on for about an hour.

also i never saw grace slick there at all.

abunch as u can see wasnt signed there.

my guess is maybe it was a runner as they had access to all and i might have been signed in the van but u had to get real lucky to get every one.

once dylan and the stones got there nobody got into the compond there were kept in.

also rember it was real hot if it was a fan backstage it would have been so damaged from sweat that day.so must have come from somebody that had a/c

there was no personal security till dylan showed up at night so getting to everyone was easy but very time consuming.it was a 16 hour day and a very large place

do u have a complete list of who signed ur program

i took this from the stage i think its neil young

all performers except Vandross, and a ton of signatures i am still trying to figure out-recently uncovered a little richard signature. Left it alone for awhile but will look again.

I have heard rumors there is another from philly, but nothing from England.

I was under the impression that this signed program must have been an official thing by Live aid rather than an independent person. cause so many signed..

you were in CSNY trailer? WOW-see anything exciting? are you in the industry?

as i said my guess it was some one working and had a/c or it would have been ruined fron sweat.theres no other way it could have been signed,

first thing that came to mind is the van drivers or the runers as they saw most of the artist for the most time .

wierd thing is u have sigs from people that play at live aid and were there.little richard never saw him .so there some mystery

we had out own trailer  but each artist was only given arounfd 45 minute before or after there set to a trailer after that if they wanted to stay they had to mingle.

so csn wanted to rehearse and had nowhere to so they ask if they could share our trailer  and we shut our door becuase u could split it in 2 and they rehearsed in the other side and we heard the rehearsal .

yes im industry for 40 years

as ive said i saw nothing realy signed as u can see from my pics they did freely sign anything.

the hardrock did auction of stuff. that could be wre ur program came from no clue but do rember seeing it as a auction itiem.

autographs back then were no big deal

the best thing was pre aid is what we call what happend at the lone star in nyc .all the performers that were heading to philly came to hang out to lonny mack and keith and ronnie played with him.

the lone star is a very tine club in nyc.
