Over $10,000.00 worth of Jackie Gleason stickered stuff available on EBAY. Would you pay $299.00 for this?:http://www.google.com/images?q=jackie+gleason+psa/dna&oe=utf-8&...

If people want to defend PSA/DNA then have at it...

Steve...

If you go to Rolf's "Isitreal" website, you will find a very interesting study on Lynda Carter Signatures.

Lots of examples of Authentic 'In-person" Signed and TTM Secretarial Signatures.

Give it a look

Bob

Bob...thank you!

Do you know of any other good secretarial studies we can link people to?

Steve...

I think we should encourage everyone to check out the "Isitreal" website.

Time and Time again I have used it and it never has let me down.

Remember that Rolf had the Heston Study posted on there, way before Steve did his outstanding work on the Heston Secretarials, so I would always trust Rolf's and Markus's site as a reference source.

I feel it is a good reference source as well.  What puzzeled me however is with Heston how could the obvious as proposed by Z be overlooked.  I believe I checked that one out and thought hmmmm certainly possible since that study was not looking at challs.

DB,

The answer to your question of why these secretarials have gotten by for so long is that most have been commonly sold by honest dealers and auctions for ages, commonly accepted as genuine. As Zippy said, the attention (studies) has mostly been paid to expensive autographs, not ones a couple hundred dollars or less.

And until now, the lack of communication in the hobby, outside of printed magazines and journals with limited amounts of real estate for articles over the course of a year, has kept these things out of the limelight.

That's now obviously changing, and not just here. As Bob mentioned, isitreal.com has a very nice secretarial section, but because it's in Germany, a lot of Americans don't go there.

We're at the point where the internet has the opportunity to make collecting much safer. Not just due to this site (no matter how much I'd love to have an "exclusive"), but on others today, and new ones in the future.

Steve...

I forgot to mention another website, Daniels Autographs

Great examples of In-person, TTM and Secretarials.

Started by a Collector in 1997

Its very informative....

Bob

Bob...wow. That's a great site, thanks. There are all these free resources out there most of us don't know about.

The Wonder Woman I sold is just fine. I bought it from an in person collector but I didn't ask where it came from.

Thanks again, Bob.

May have come from you. It's PSA/DNA but doesn't say supplier. I bought it from an IP collector, but not sure who.

I bought a deal right before the site went down, guaranteed to pass PSA, since that's who I used, and I sent them in. Almost 95% passed, which is really good for modern in person.

It was about the same as the stuff we got from you. PSA liked over 90% of it, which is great for IP stuff.

All but a few things of yours passed PSA. I got some stuff after we worked together. Nothing during that time in modern stuff that I recall. I just can't keep track of everything without looking up purchases.

I have 13 pieces total from you that didn't pass PSA/DNA, and they don't look signed by the same person. For all we sent in I have not complaints. We got some stuff later, after you and I were working together.
