Went down to the CNN Center this past Saturday for an autograph signing at the Braves Clubhouse Store featuring Martin Prado, the Braves starting second basemen. He was very nice and signed my 2010 Braves team ball project that I am working on for this year.

Today brought some great in-person autographs with 3 former Atlanta Braves greats in Terry Harper, Marty Perez, and Arnold Umbach. Terry Harper was a key member of that great Braves team who won the National League Western Division championship in 1982. Marty Perez was the starting shortstop in Phil Niekro's no-hitter against the Padres in 1973, and also played shortstop in Hank Aaron's 715th homerun game in 1974. Arnold Umbach pitched in 23 games for the Braves in 1964 and 1966, and held Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, Willie Mays, and Willie McCovey to a .100 batting average combined! All 3 were so very nice to all who showed up at Braves Alumni Sunday at today's game.

Made a nice deal today with a friend I traded him about 25 different Pro football HOF game tickets included a gem mint unused 1962 1st game ticket and another impossible ticket ot find a 1970 full unused ticket for a 1940's throwback jersey signed by Sammy Baugh, authenicated by JSA, a Jerry Rice autographed replica 49er's jersey PSA/DNA authenicated, signed 8 x 10 of 2009 HOFer Ralph Wilson Jr. and some $$$...we were both happy campers

Had a great day today collecting autographs. It was Taste of Marietta day in Marietta, GA, and BP Sports, who always does a great job in bringing great autograph guests throughout the year every year, brought in Leo Mazzone, famed Major League pitching coach with the Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles, and Rex White, the 1960 NASCAR Grand National Champion. Both were so very cordial a personable with their fans who stopped by and got a picture taken. Everyone had a good time with these 2 classy guys, swapping stories and talking about their championship moments.

Received my 1974 Topps card signed by former Giants, Cubs, Twins, and Rangers pitcher, Bill Hands. Bill was one of the winningest pitchers in the National League from 1968-1970, and was the Cubs ace on that great team in 1969 that was cursed by that infamous black cat on September 9, 1969.

Had a very nice wekend. Saturday, I went to the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta and got David Ross, catcher for the Atlanta Braves, in person. great guy and super nice. Then I got home, and found that Yankees pitching legend Fritz Peterson had sent back my 1974 Topps baseball card he signed beautifully in black ink pen. Very nice signature. Then today, I was able to obtain the autographs of Braves manager Bobby Cox, and Braves legends Greg McMichael, Brad Clontz, and Craig Skok at the game today. Throw in a game winning base hit from Jason Heyward in the bottom of the 9th, and you have yourself one heck of a sports weekend!!!
