I don't think I've seen any Farrah Fawcett exampes where the "f" loops into a big "a." I'm sure someone closer to her autograph could give a better opinion but the Farrah Fawcett's I've seen where she…

Funny......where did the value of $279 come from?  I would value this signed ball at $50-$75 max.

The only signature that appeared remotely authentic was the Jackie Robinson clip.

These prices, in my opinion, do NOT reflect accurately on today's marketplace.  I am a seller at these prices.............any takers?

Greg, the described Grant ALS,  with average content,  if written during the CW,  should be worth $2000-2500.  If written post CW, I would say $1250-1500.

As a collector/dealer/author I want to know more about authenticity so I can make better personal judgments.  The very few items that I was "forced" to send out to either JSA or PSA, if judged non-authentic, contained a perfunctory…

Hi Dr. Saffro. I happened to notice in the Sander's Autograph Guide 7th Edition that you have incorrect dates on Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams). He's listed as 1914-1988. As of 2010, he's very much alive. Come to think of…

You gotta be kidding

I am suggesting that for those of us who wish to participate, that we post some of the most ridiculous, silly, absurd autographs that we find on eBay. For legal reasons, I am NOT saying that these items mentioned are non-authentic, just totally preposterous. Each of us can draw our own conclusion.

My contribution is not only hilarious, but it also backed by a forensic handwriting examiner, who graded it a '10'. Let me begin the hit parade:…

Autograph Price Trends June 2010

Posted on June 24, 2010 at 8:59am 4 Comments

The autograph market is in many ways, reflective of the stock market. When the stock market dips lower, it is the time to purchase stocks. Unfortunately, most of us buy stocks when the market rises and sell when the market drops. This is also true of autographs. That being said, if you can think counter-intuitively, now is a good time to buy autographs. The autograph prices, from many of the autograph auction houses, are quite attractive and clearly more affordable than a few… Continue

Hi Dr. Saffro. I happened to notice in the Sander's Autograph Guide 7th Edition that you have incorrect dates on Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams). He's listed as 1914-1988. As of 2010, he's very much alive. Come to think of it...there's no way he could be in his late 90s. I could understand a typo 1914 as opposed to 1941. I did a Google search and find there was a Don (Donald) Haggerty who was born in 1914 and died in 1988. I also find that Dan (Daniel) Haggerty was born in 1941.
