Why do you want to join Autograph Live?
I have 2 historic signed documents I'm looking to value and sell.
Who can we thank for telling you about us?
I just came across it looking for autograph dealers
What are your areas of interest?
History/Politics, Books/Literature
Why do you collect?
Thats a good question. I've often wondered how I would explain that. All I've been able to come up with is because I have to. When I see something old especially historical I'm compelled, its almost autonomic. I am a complete history nut as well though. I'm fascinated with WW2. Ancient Rome, Mesopotamia/Sumeria classical Pianists (I am one). Sometimes In think my real craving for history, is to uncover all the half truths and lies we've been told.
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
JFK
I only have the 2 and I like them but not as much as some other things.
This particular one is on Senate stationary and was given to my father in 57. He was seeking entrance to the USMA at West Point The then Senator Kennedy had already filled his 2 slots and signed and gave my father what im sure was a form letter and encouraged him to come back next year. He didnt have to his congressman got him in right away.
The letter also discusses for the first time ever him being able to fill a few more slots due to the opening of the new Air Force Academy on Colorado
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
That would be Abraham Lincoln, I have always wanted one from him. 2nd would be Rachmaninoff
