I just wanted to post a discussion that might be helpful for any of our members that collect autographed baseballs. Specifically, what's the best type of holder to protect, display, and store your autographed balls.
I know many of us put our autographed baseballs in ball cubes for protection and storage. Unfortunately, most of the time, the cubes are just a little too big, and the signed baseballs move around in them quite a bit.
But there's an alternative.
First, let me say that I absolutely do not work in any capacity whatsoever for the company that produces these holders that I'm about to tell you about. I just love how they function and feel in your hand when you hold them. And one of the best features is that the ball doesn't move once the dome is closed into place. If you have an older vintage ball, which is often smaller than today's balls due to shrinkage, there is an instrument that is used to secure vintage balls so they don't move around. And the cases are virtually unbreakable. If you drop them on a hard surface, they don't break, and your ball doesn't move. The plastic used is coated with a UV resistant material, to keep the balls from fading.
This is the best item I have seen for storing baseballs, plus they look great. They cost $15 plus another $5 if you want a label, plus shipping, but they are worth it.
