Harrison ford and alec guinness autograph concerns

Im new to the site but have been collecting for a while . I bought these when i was very young and didnt really know what i was buying. And over the years iv had serious doubts especially with the harrison ford one.. opinions anyone?. Thanks

I would say the Ford has an outside shot......if you can get a pic in angled light so that the ink shows up in the dark areas, I would be able to give you more of an idea if it is real.

The Guinness while it has some issues, I think they are just due to his age. The piece is completely his handwriting, but the signature does have some starts and stops and even a mis-step with the pen at the first N. Blame it on whatever you choose, it's not pretty, but it is Alec.

Have no idea when they were signed but i bought them approx 2008 from a website writestuffautographs, im sure they are still up and running

Any particular reason ? Have you heard of writestuffautographs ?i bought them when i was still pretty uneducated on collecting. I personally dont think fords is legit, guinness im 50/50.

I think the Guinness is fine. It appears he used a fountain pen on a glossy, which can drop a lot of ink... those blobs are fairly typical for fountain pen.

Hi Karl, I've heard of WSA its not too far from where I live, up north.

When you said you got it when you was very young I thought maybe that was 30+ years ago, and it might have been signed some 10 years previous, meaning it could be 40+ years since the signing. Given that time that it why I said I thought it was not genuine as his signature would have been much more fluent. As AG got older then the fluency did go as expected with old age.
