I have a question for the knowledgeable members here at the forum in regards to seller tactics on Ebay. A seller will list a questionable item for a number of days. The bids come in( even reach a high figure) then have the item removed or end the listing, only to see that item listed again..Are they trolling or fishing for a buyer to take the bait and deal outside of ebay?

if the item is "questionable", it is likely shill bidding. Happens all the time.

Thanks for the response back, looking back over the years bidding on a few item and I’m sure I’m not alone..How Ebay would allow a lot of these people to keep posting items over and over and not get caught. It shows, you always have to be on your game to bid on items and look deeper into the sellers history. But now we all have a community here that you can verify autographs or items to get opinions, second and third looks.

RC, below is a thread I posted on Ebay and shill bidding.
