Hello. I don't know if this is the correct place for this but as I was looking through an old second hand bookstore I found the book "Profiles in Courage" by JFK. The first page had a small message with an autograph on it. Could this be JFK's writing? I bought it for 2 euros so I certainly hope so

So what do you think? Is it legit?

So you got a $2500-$3500 book (speaking in USD terms) for 2 euros!  I'd say good fortune was shining on you because yes, this is an authentic JFK inscription and autograph!  What a find!

Well that's amazing.

Are you sure? Is there anything in the autograph that makes you see that it isn't a forgery? And another question: Do you have any idea what it says? I can only read "with very warm regards"

"To Howard McKeever(sp?)

with very warmest regards

John Kennedy"?

Leave a post on member Herman Darvicks page - he specializes in Presidents.

Is he on this website?

Yes, he is a member. Here is a link - you can leave a post on his wall:

Ah that's great. I really hope that this is a real autograph

Yes, I'm sure it's authentic.  I collect JFK.  The inscription is clearly in Kennedy's handwriting, and the autograph is one of JFK's many different styles.  He had a lot of secretaries sign for him (at least 17 I believe), but this one JFK signed himself.  It says "To ???? McKeever, with very warmest regards, John Kennedy". If you want to check with Darvick, I'm sure he will tell you the same.  Congratulations on a great find.

I am sure you are correct James, but you would agree another set of eyes is always good. Didn't Kennedy collect autographs or letters? That might explain some of the wide variation?
