I found someone who claims they have an Aaron judge signed ball bought from a pawn shop. The auto just doesn’t look good for me, but I’d love your opinion.

stay away.....no good

For sure.

It's unfortunate that tons of Judge forgeries have sold on Ebay.

How about his early college years? Supposedly that’s when the auto is from...

Please don't try to convince yourself that it's authentic.

One of the reasons why more forgeries are sold than authentic autographs is price.

Authentic Judge autographs will cost you; so people will purchase a "Judge" at a ridiculously low price and convince themselves that it's authentic.

The scammers are well aware of that thought process and they take advantage of it.

It’s not mine and I haven’t purchased it, just was asking cause that’s what the seller had said, and was wondering if anyone had seen his college autos. I’m staying far away unless I get an example of his college auto to go by or someone knows for a fact his college auto looks like it. Haha but thank you so much for quick response.

Ask the seller how he could have signed that ball in college, when it is a 2017 All Star game ball in Miami?  let me know what he says.

Excellent, Terrier.  Just simple common sense.

Terrier that’s actually geniusness that slipped my mind. I’m staying far away! Thank you so much!

This is one of the reasons why auction sites like Coach's Corner aren't technically illegal.

When you buy a signed ball for $200 that should really cost $20,000, can you really call that a forgery?  Not really, because it didn't fool anyone.  It sold for $200.

So if they're not forgeries, are they what, fantasy items?  Decor pieces?  Things to put in that empty space on your shelf to impress your friends and still be on a budget?

here is an example of an authentic Judge signature on the same style ball (2017 Miami All Star Game):
