One: is it real? And 2: could restoration help this at all? The fading is intense and it looks to be way worse than it was when it was sent in for its authentication. I qpuslnt mind paying a grand and a little extra for the restoration IF it's going to make a real difference here. But I dont know what kind of miracles they can pull with this.

This might have been signed with a fed "Flair" pen -- anybody remember those before the era of sharpies? Felt tip -- a little thicker than a ballpoint -- but I've seen some that are badly faded over the years especially if they were exposed to light. I agree -- any attempt to darken it would ruin the value in my opinion.
Thanks guys. The seller says its faded this bad since 2007 because of the way it was displayed. What a huge waste. Looks like it was placed in direct sunlight for years. Thanks for the article. It's a pretty interesting read.
