Matting a signature with an album cover.

I'm sure it has been done although I can't remember seeing an album cover matted with a cut signature. Has anyone here done that? Is it possible for me to see some examples?

I've seen it often and it can come out great.

I sure it can. I assume it would have to be a larger format, probably 16" x 20". Need something to get my creative juices going! I've seen many signed albums matted but few with a cut signature.

Hi Eric, neat concept. Did you actually cut the album cover itself? Did you mat around the cover as well?

Hi Joe, it was an odd cut so I prepared this digital file to print as a mat so it all "worked" visually.

PS - yes. I would mat the above before framing. That is a "simulated" pastiche over - made for this.

Thanks, Eric. I sometimes use a graphics program before I mat as well. I appreciate you sharing this. I've never matted using an album cover before and, before I tackle something I like to see some examples for ideas. Googled it but not a lot there to be seen in terms of signatures with albums.
