Hi

I've just joined so hello to all. I wonder if you could please give your opinion on the mag I've just purchased.

I had been told that the mag had been thrown onto the stage during one of the 1965 UK Christmas shows and was returned as can now be seen.

It has all four Beatles on the front and Ringo signed his photo to the rear, John made a remark and sketch plus signed over his photo, George also signed inside the mag and looked to have attempted sign (Harrison) after his name at the top of the front cover.

In your opinion is it for real or fake?

OK I'm convinced that you are all right. I thought that the John Lennon sig was genuine and reflected his humour...it seems I was sucked in!

thanks for all your comments...respect to all.

I might hold you to that :)

It actually doesn't matter what you believe unless it's true. Some people hold onto fake Beatles autographs for years and don't realize it until it's too late. You may still have a chance to return this item. If so, why not put the money towards a real set?

Ron Roper asks for opinions on what is an obvious forgery -- and then despite 100% confirmation from members that is has no chance of being authentic -- says "all the matters is I believe" -- which is one of most idiotic statements I've ever seen on this site (and that's saying something!)

Why post it in the first place then if you disregard all the experts opinions?

I thought "...forget the autograph..." was a close second no?

Sorry if I offended anyone it wasn't intended it seems that I have lot to learn.

Ron

Hi Ron, see my last post. No real offense taken here. Life is too short.

No offense taken ....you are all very passionate about this and that is very commendable.

If I recall, isn't this item in an upcoming auction?  Despite all but one of us concurring on its authenticity,  it still bothers me (and perhaps I'm alone in this) when forthcoming items are posted on here for free feedback. I, and most on here, don't need to because we've put in the time to learn to authenticate.

I did not know. Interesting - by who?

Can't remember.  I think it was a UK auction.

You probably recall seeing this item on the UK Ebay site as this is where I purchased it from.
