The story on this one is sketchy...claims to have been 'concert used" it certainly looks USED....but it could have been just some old used Drumhead someone got signed..IF the signatures are even real. I did not see this one signed.

Can someone check the KURT, dave Grohl (which from my in person examples from Grohl this- appears authentic to me) nad the third member--Krist... but for some reason..he signed this with a  "C" iot looks like not a K for Krist...it looks like Christ...??? SO I have questions on its authnetiity...i have no other info...signed around 1992

The signature on this letter appears to be very authentic in my opinion. Thumbs up!

Hi James, do you mean the signature on the MTV letter ?  If you think that is real , I got the cd and draft letter from the same person.  I still think the cd is real .  Kurt added "bleeding from within" which is something he would do for a friend.  Just my opinion.

Thanks

It doesn't matter that it was obtained from the same person. You can believe what you want to believe, it doesn't affect me one way or the other. They are your items and you should be the one that gets the enjoyment out of them. The CD was not signed by any member of Nirvana. The sentiment written by Kurt is absolutely not something he would write for a friend - too coy and as Kurt would put it - too cheesey. I have also never seen an authentic Cobain signature with a peace sign added, it is just not his style. He would be more prone to adding the circle A anarchy symbol, but I cannot recall seeing any of those either.

The signature on the MTV letter matches known in person Kurt signatures and is a very good example of his signature. Nirvana set lists were typically made out by Dave Grohl by hand, but I cannot confirm if this is in his hand or not. The Kurt Cobain "signature" on the Nirvana set list was not signed by Kurt Cobain.

Howdy from burning hot Texas!

Normally I don't comment on Nirvana as the are first name only and they printed their names most of the time.  On top of that they would spell their different from time to time.  I will though comment when I see some that are so bad that I can back up my opinion and these are without question not authentic.  Another thing to remember is 20 years ago getting drum heads signed was not a common thing.  I was deep in my "in person" days then and I only got Ringo Starr on a drumhead, thats it.

Roger...thanks.

Would you mind giving an opinion on these CDs for Anne Marie? Thanks:

Tom Petty Actually DID sign a drumhead for me..but he stopped signing guitars...his 'wife" won't let him sign any acoustics or bodies of electrics....he will occasionally sign pickguards with what is now a very sloppy graph.....I need Stan lynch to complete a very nice item signed by all original members..where is Stan Lynch? I cant find him....I recently saw a few BEARNIE LEADON signed Eagles items guitars just listed on ebay--where does one find Bernie Leadon? he is still touring? I have Never seen that man in person in 20 years..
From what  I know RINGO would be the first person I would want on a drumhead and almos tall in person collectors I know for some reason just didnt bring them when he was signing...they broguht albums, baseball,s photos...a signed Ringo drumhead is quite rare...LOL...Ringo was mierable last time I saw him in NY ...my friend said "Ringo can you please sign Im a BIG FAN" and Ringo looked at him and said "No you're not..anyone standing outside my hotel holding a stack of album is NOT a fan of mine" and he walked in without signing anything...forget a photo with..he never did it.
David: You cannot make generalized statements like this without an addendum. No Tom Petty is usually not going to sign bodies of guitars for a group of 10 people waiting for him at his bus beside his hotel, but he does sign guitar bodies if presented in the right situation. As for your other questions - Stan Lynch lives in Flordia and sometimes gives drum clinics in the state (everyone needs Stan to complete their items). Bernie Leadon did a nationwide tour in 2004, but is currently retired from the music business. He lives in a suburb of Nashville Tennessee. Ringo now only signs for charitable organizations in which he personally endorses and does not donate to any outside charities upon request. I have not heard of him signing an autograph in person for anyone since 2008. When it comes to the availability of his autograph he is good as dead. What is available today is basically all that will be available from here on out.
He does bring his signed original and limited editition artwork in a for- sale booth at all of his shows in last few years

Yo ualready answered my question when you said "horrendous' artwork..that 100% means RINGO lol.> i have seen that 'artworK"....hmm.. well that;s why Ringo was the 4th Beatle...

WHo brings his limited edition arwork..RINGO or Petty?> I think you refer to RINGO..I didnt know Petty was doing artwork..? And Yes...Ringo stopped in 2008..The hotel adventure I refer to was in 2007..when he toured with Ricahrd Marx who was actually not very nice either... I had a great conversation with Petty in NY...he signed several things for me and joked with me about my meeting with Dylan and gave me advise on how to talk Bob into an autograph....(didnt work) but he didnt want to sign my acoustic..he said "Ill sign the drumhead or any albums you want"..oh well..at leats he signed and diod a pic with me..very nice.
Ringo.  Are you a petty specuialist cause I posted a question about a singed petty guiar here a few months ago but go no response.
