14 years ago I wrote to Gene Wilder and sent a photo that came back signed to me, along with this letter from his assistant. Did Gene personally sign through the mail, or might this be secretarial?  Thanks in advance.

I guess it isn't the same Todd.

Anyways, in 2014 I wrote him a really nice and long letter after seeing a return from Gene. I sent 2 Wonka 8x10's and he included a 5x7 of his own that he personalized and signed. I guess he liked my letter.

I met Gene Wilder at the old antiques lot on 25th St in NYC in a deli. Always wished I bought him a candy bar, but I turned back in a 5 year old when I saw him. He put his finger to his lips, said "Shh, it's me" and I'll never forget this, or the twinkle in his eye.

That’s awesome.  It sounds like he was basically saying, “Take a deep breath.  Yes...indeed it’s me...and...don’t blow my cover!”  That’s great.
