The tips of the loops for one and overall...certainty of letter formations. Perhaps signed later? For now I am in the secretarial camp.

Also looking at the loop shapes...

And very different singing baselines/angles.

Interesting to note I couldn't find this exact image Anywhere on the internet and when i tried to pull up secretarial signed photos by her couldn't find anything that matches this signature??

Signature is atypical. I've really never heard of Shirley having a secretary sign for her. Not sure what to say about this one.

The example from Tom is rather different in angles/slants/attack and overall smoothness, no? Look at the relationship and nature of of the "m" and "p".

IMO. The Temple being discussed was not signed by Shirley. And it is not similar to Tom's signed photo.

I actually heard the same thing never knew of secretaries to sign for her before but you never know

Going by the numbers I would think she must have had.

Makes sense. The image itself is a real gem in any case

Tom's has a certain childish quality lacking in the OP, look at the letter "e"...

I know nothing of Shiley Temples autograph but I did do a reverse image search of your photo to see if I can be of any help and it seems the only other (kind of) exact photo I could find is this edited version of the original photo for the cover of a vintage ad or magazine of some sort.

(Here is the direct link to the website I found it) Unfortunately, it is in Spanish.
