These have all been signed by Neil Aspinall.
The photo was signed by Beatles road manager,Neil Aspinall. He signed thousands of items on behalf of the band during the touring years. The photo shows The Beatles in L.A. at the start of their 1964 US summer tour.
Thanks fellas I'm watching it to see how much it sells for. If it was real no doubt would be in the thousands with 4 days left. Thanks Beatleworld for the signed McCartney press to play (assuming that it's you)
Anytime Al.
I have a question I'd love answered. These are all signed by Neil, so...how did he get the signatures so close to what they actually look like? I mean...did he work on it? And if so, why? Back then, if you're sending fan mail...there was no internet, so it's not like folks could compare notes to what the original signatures look like, etc.
They're similar, but obviously different than the genuine ones. Neil signed frequently, even for official contests, among other things. I'm sure the band encouraged him, which took some pressure off them to satisfy demand. Of course, it's caused much confusion - never imagining for a moment the historical significance.
