Hi everyone, can I get some opinions on this photo allegedly signed by Lennon? Thanks!

I’ve gotten some opinions that suspect it could be from the WFIL Philadelphia event in 75. It does run in the same vein he was using around that time, especially throughout those few days. I do still have my suspicions and will probably send to Epperson for his thoughts

This was previously offered by RR Auction, so I assume that it got Roger’s approval.

Long ago?

I saved the image on 8/21/15.

EDIT: Here it is: https://www.rrauction.com/PastAuctionItem/3346829

At least it's been a while and Roger is referred to. Odd that the current auctioneer doesn't mention the previous sale, especially as the sale price was above the current top estimate. Maybe the RR purchaser is no longer with us and didn't leave proper records.

The other high end rock and roll autographed items in this IAA - Barcelona auction are forgeries.  I have it on good authority that this one is also fake -- albeit a very good fake in the WFIL - Philly '75 style.  Bid at your own risk or better yet -- DON'T!

This one was actually authenticated by epperson in 2015. I ran it past him again a few days ago and he still thinks it’s good

My most expensive forgery purchases were two sets of Beatles autographs. The auctioneer of the current Lennon was the auction house authenticator for both. There was no COA in either case and the auctions were both around 20 years ago but I have a feeling that the auctioneer is still more specialised in historic autographs than entertainment.

Roger's opinion is obviously valuable but I guess it would be tricky for him to cast doubt now on his 2015 pre-certification for RR. Maybe he does sometimes change his opinion over time but it must be a tough thing to do.

I would be very cautious about this one. To me it just looks fishy.

As a final point, I wonder why it is being re-sold within 5 years and through a less prominent/specialised auction house.
