I'm wanting to start a couple cast signed piece through autograph ordering sites like Opix, etc... I can't decide if I should add a character name inscription, a line from the movie inscription, name and line, or just their signature... What are you guys opinions on inscriptions on cast signed pieces. Thanks!

Most don't like dedications (resale, but I do), but you are asking about an inscription only. If you want one I would stick with a character name - in future if you sell and have lines from the film you might be limiting your potential customer base as some might not like the particular lines you chose. I'm sure there are other lines of thought. Good luck. :)

PS - Adding names and lines could wind up being very distracting IMO.

This is kind of what I was leaning toward. I didn't think about the fact someone else might not like the line if I ever need to resell it, that's a good point. I thought maybe it would look too cluttered if everyone added a line from the movie and then if I ended up getting someone that refused to write a movie line then it might look off too. So I think I'll go with just the character names. Plus that way if some are hard to read I'll still know which one is which 10 yrs from now if I forget. So I think that's a good choice  I appreciate the responses!

Most welcome.

i like character names on cast pieces. i don't get why people choose to have their item dedicated to them by every signer. do you really need To Tom on your item 10 times? it just clutters things.

Yeah I agree 100% on that. I'm not a fan of personalization. I dont sell anything for the most part, just collect, but I like how it looks without my name on it... And I know I'm not going to be around forever and my autograph collection is part of what my daughter will get, and she don't care about them, so they'll get sold then. Id rather have her get as much as she can, or if a financial emergency happens and I needed to sell, it makes a lot more sense to not be personalized if it can be avoided.
