I've had this Bela Lugosi SP that I'm now focusing on more seriously. I see things l like. Some I'm not sure of ( esp. the "B" looking somewhat atypical...although it's connection to an authentic style "e" following it looks right).
That "a" in Bela looks right. I've also seen him make the break in his surname ("Lug osi"). This came out of a batch of authentic signed photos from this same collector "Mush" from the mid-1930's.
Any help would be appreciated!

Lillian's sig looks an awful lot like the atypical PSA example, lack of accent aside.
The larger "B" is later - the "B" shown above the Lillian is typical of Lugoi C. 1930's-1940. The OP signature itself appears size incongruent letter to letter.
"In remembrance" as written by Lugosi is often broken up now that I think of it.
Although I am not well studied on Lugosi I find the OP somewhat atypical. His "To" seems different than most he inscribes. The quotation marks in the inscription is also not his normal style. This does not mean the OP is not authentic although not a slam dunk either. Here is a signed photo I found for comparison.
As always, thanks for coming in, Joe. It is a bit of a headscratcher (which I do enjoy).
Here's one from with the "To" in the style of the OP. It's a PSA exemplar:
Also that "Mush" person apparently was an in person collector back in the 30's who would present stars with very nice photos to sign rather than albums. His collection was broken up about 20 years ago.
That's a good piece of provenance. Maybe with a bit of detective work more information can be found on who "Mush" was.
Yes, I've seen that style "To" as well but most have the fancier "T".
In Joe's example the word "remembrance" is broken. The inscription is one key here IMO.
Joe - Your thought on digging a bit on who "Mush" was spurred me to email the original dealer acquired this from. This dealer originally sold "Mush"'s collection and still has a fair amount of it. He told me that "Mush" was an entertainment reporter and sometime publicist who would acquire signed photos in the mid-30s both in person and through the mail.
Still wouldn't supply the reporter's name. Now that would complete the story. And I enjoy a good story!
HA makes mention of a well known "Mush Collection". Many of these SP's are dated and with location on the Reverse. I would continue to read past auction descriptions as one might contain what you are looking for.
I asked Dr. Brucato about Mush - Mush was a reporter who collected mostly In Person. That's all I can find out. Not much I know. Again, I'd be looking at the Reverses of the many items made out to this person and sold - the auction descriptions might contain more information.
