Help with Bill Murray autograph possible auto pen concern?
So every year Bill has his Murray Bro Charity golf tournament every year . I always wanted to go and saved my money up one year 2017 to go and happens to be the one year he didn’t show so I was pretty bummed . Busy still had wonderful time though I was there for Bill Murray as I’m huge fan . Each year they do donations through Prizeo app and I would always see Ghostbusters signed poster by Bill if you paid certain amount . Early on they were $250 then went up to $500 years later. So I purchased one and money went to great cause however when I received the poster the autograph ink looked odd to me . It could be because it’s done by those nice gel silver markers but you don’t see the typical inconsistencies of marker moving quickly on the signature . It seemed almost perfect . This def came from Murray Bro Caddyshack restaurant which I love !! Been there twice so far. However I saw a photo on their Facebook page that made me more concerned . Another poster that was won by someone at restaurant and the autograph is nearly 99% identical! The angle , way things lineup is scary close to mine to not be concerned I paid lot of money for auto pen autograph. Now I don’t want to bad mouth the restaurant or Murray Bro Charity event whatsoever. I fully support it and it’s for great cause . I hope I can make it down next year so bad as I still had great time . I know my money was donation and to good cause but I’m very concerned after seeing this photo on Facebook look nearly identical and already had suspicions about it from get go . Anyone familiar with auto pens tips or feedback would be great ! Here are the pics of mine and one on Facebook . I can only find one settle difference is the Y on my poster ends just above the H letter below it and the Facebook photo his Y goes just past it by very small bit . But everything else looks identical . I know autopens also look for dots ending and starting as well as shaky likes . It’s pretty smooth throughout though the Y looks little unnatural.
Let me be clear in no way am I accusing Murray Bro Restaurant or the charity event giving out fake auto pen autographs however i am not concerned I donated lot of money that went to good cause but for possibility of autograph that was done by auto pen after seeing another photo of same poster where the autograph lines up way too close for concern and has me wondering . So any feedback would be great.

I can relate to that ! I get the anxiety thing and he would def be the only celebrity id ever be nervous and anxiety through roof being such big fan. That’s great step for you as I understand how debilitating that can be as I go through that myself along with depression so I get it . Don’t be hard on yourself . Great you got to meet him and you’re prob right he’s human could of been rough day for him . I know he hates professionals who only get autographs for money so if he gets wind of thinking you’re in it for making money he can get pretty rude sometimes to wrong person .

somehow missed this comment earlier. I just saw it now. Thanks for the kind words. I dont wish that on anyone. Take what you will from this info, everyone is different.. but after years of trying different stuff, alcohol for social events to therapy and antidepressants for a while before stopping everything completely and accept its just how I was meant to be.. my wife gave birth to our daughter and like magic, Ive gotten a lot better. Still have my moments though. My mind still goes blank in high anxiety situations at times.. but now, my mindset is, everything I do is for her.. thinking of her 1st always, has taken the focus off of the high expectations I placed on myself. I was extremely hard on myself for over 25 years.. from past events I had no control over. Its amazing how the mind works. I hope you can find a way out. Looking back, it consumed my life. Therapy actually did lay down some great groundwork though. I just needed another trigger to put it all together. I had a rough time making that initial step for therapy but as soon as I told my doctor what was going on, she gave me numbers to call, offered to set things up for me herself. I was amazed at how much she cared about by mental health. Ive learned this is a huge problem for so many people but there are people out there, complete strangers who love and will help you out. All you have to do is ask. Hey, your a GB fan so I'm already your friend.
You are right. Everyone can have a bad day. Ill give him the benefit of the doubt on that day. Ill always be a huge fan

Just take a step back and look at the whole signature as a single object. They certainly look the same to me. Same relationship between the letters, spacing, size.

I agree with this. Definitely bad sign. But I like being 100% certain always and the photo being compared is not the best quality

Yes unfortunately I had to zoom in to get to the autograph. I can post one that’s not zoomed in just hard to tell from pic taken further away . This is the Facebook one

Obvious Autopen. No individual can sign like that - cleary the same template. I'd not rely so much on "dots".

Tilt your screen back and you see into the mess of an "M" on the enlargement of the clearer scan.

It appears a pen lift, the second portion of the "m" after the initial down stroke.

I agree with that but why have a template that would lift up in that area? I want to be sure 100% what kind of fake this is, autopen, stamp whatever. Im very surprised to add Bill Murray to the long list of autopens im fighting.. problem with Bill is, there's no one to really communicate with.. i would think his brothers and family know what is going on and its probably because bill is so elusive that its impossible for his own people to get signatures at times. I can totally see his family setting this up and bill not caring at all.
Either way, I'm sorry you have to deal with this Kenny, but posting this will help a lot of people avoid the same issue later on. Im saving this template for sure

Absolutely thank you for feedback! I contacted the restaurant nicely not accusing them but asking if they know anything about it . Hopefully hear back . Money went to good cause but was lot of money to spend for them to be doing that for charity kinda messed up if that is indeed the case .

If Murray signs with a down stroke and then a pen lift the Autopen is simply copying the order of movement, This is not a stamp - no signs of that are here.
