I unfortunately recently had a damaged book arrive from one of the UK booksellers for Tom Felton's "Beyond the Wand" yesterday. I just started the research process and discovered something unusual. When visiting the bookseller's website it was brought to my attention there have been ongoing strikes with the UK mail, which I believe most of us are and have been unaware of, especially since a lot of biographies and entertainment-related titles are scheduled for the next few months. I know I have items I pre-ordered 3-12+ months myself that are supposed to arrive in the coming weeks.

In case anyone is unaware, there have been a bunch of strikes with the Royal Mail. Per this store's website, they've mentioned the following:

"The current planned postal strike dates are:

October: 20th & 25th. November: 2nd, 4th, 8th, 10th, 16th, 23rd, 28th, 30th."

For anyone interested, here are updates from the Royal Mail since it's the holidays

Again, this is for all us people “Across The Pond” and most of us were probably unaware of it. I know I was and have been. I anticipate several books coming from overseas in the coming weeks from the usual suspects so I’m curious if the items will arrive in time for the holidays.

Royal mail should sack all of them that want /continue to strike !

There are plenty of unemployed people out there would love their jobs with their current terms and conditions!
