UK chart rules - signed singles no longer chart eligible

Could be the end of the road for the 99p signed single - this new chart rule seems to apply to singles only so far.

Singles Rules
'6.3 Pre-signed/Personalised Products Any pre-signed or personalised physical product will not be eligible for inclusion in the chart (i.e. products featuring artist's signature, initial, autograph, writings, doodles and drawings made by artist in any part of physical product prior to sale and/or any other feature that makes the product unique such as numbering).'

Major bummer! It was great while it lasted.

Understandable though. I wonder how many Top 5 hits Ed Sheeran would have had if it weren't for the signed singles.

Although being US-based, I cursed every time there were cheap signed singles that were UK-only, just to get their chart nudge.

...and no more for this UK seller (boo-hoo) who went all-in on Ed Sheeran's "Eyes Closed" single:

selling 200

ED SHEERAN EYES CLOSED AUTOGRAPHED HAND SIGNED FRONT SLEEVE CD SING...

then, a set of 500

ED SHEERAN EYES CLOSED AUTOGRAPHED HAND SIGNED FRONT SLEEVE CD SING...

then, a lot of 175

ED SHEERAN EYES CLOSED AUTOGRAPHED HAND SIGNED FRONT SLEEVE CD SING...
