A friend asked me thoughts on this signed photograph.   I think it's good and looks to be spot on for late 60s pretty much.

Well, if one can accept that the contract page is from '68 as notated, I think now you've seen it! :-)

I was speaking of the OP which you stated was "spot on". I don't think so. In your contract there is a clear "W", an "i" and two "l's". The majority of the exemplars posted show "William". David Paul has another Transformed Man signed in red I sold him and it also is "William" if memory serves.

It disappeared!

What did?

You had a response just prior to this that also disappeared just now.

I think we should stop now Eric, to be honest.

"You had a response just prior to this that also disappeared..  I think we should stop now Eric, to be honest." - Eddy

No, I did not. You always are the first to start with "I think we should stop", "when it takes this tone"...it's getting tiresome really. I post a Gleason, you start with Gleason's. I comment on Shatner, you post a Shatner. You love to throw a wrench IMHO. Well, I just duck now.

A threat! You meant a thread :-)

As far as disappearing and altered posts, you are telling me...

Eric -  In all seriousness, this thread will do no one any good at this point.  Since you have the power of moderation & edit as an administrator, would you please simply delete this thread?  I'd consider it a personal favor.

Yes, I agree that I do get concerned about the tone of threads and try to draw a line when I personally feel I need to stop to stay safe.  I don't feel I need to apologize for that.

In real life, I've assisted in supporting people who have been victims of online bullying.  It's a real problem and I'm trying to stay sensitive to the reality that there are other real human beings on the other side of the screen.  I'm not setting myself up as perfect and I've been less than I want to be at times in my own online behavior (some of it here in the past, to my regret).  It's just a reality that I try to keep a personal awareness of as best I can.

I certainly don't mean to make you feel unsafe Eddy. This is a good and productive discussion about how one man signed his first name over half a century ago

I do not delete threads. I do not close or open threads. This thread is very useful - there is a clear preponderance of one style and it is not the OP.

"there is a clear preponderance of one style and it is not the OP."

To be clearer, I am speaking of the style of the first name.
