I have been collecting signatures of artists for a while now, but I have a question and am curious about your idea?

Signed cards are added to most CDs and LPs, sometimes with a scribble. Now I wonder if these cards can really have value in a few years or if the value of these cards will hardly increase. Also because in some cases they have signed a lot of them.

Like any other signed item, it really depends on who we're talking about, how popular they are (or have since become) and the rarity of the item. I bought a couple of the Chappell Roan CDs with signed cards less than 6 months ago. They were $15, and now I'm seeing them going for 25 - 30 x  that on Ebay. She's absolutely exploded in popularity though, so that's hardly par for the course. These things vary so wildly, and a number of variables factors into what increases in value and to what extent, often including signature quality. Some artists are so insanely popular that even though they've signed absolute tons of some of their releases, the prices go up significantly regardless (Taylor Swift being a prime example).

That's great that you bought some
