For those that don't agree with me, think about this. How many times on THIS WEBSITE, have we seen somebody ask about an autograph and whether it's authentic, only to hear "It could be, it looks like a rushed Freddie Mercury, but I wouldn't touch it." Heck, I just saw this in regards to a Nosferatu signed picture somebody asked about, which the actress merely has a squiggle for a signature (side note: I'm trying to contact the person that posted that about something)

I hear you and you make some good points, but think about this, if the Elton signatures had been too good, everyone here would call them fake, secretarial or autopen. The very fact that these signatures are basic make this item looks more legit to me.

I think the thing I find odd is the variety of the signatures, I'm a bit wary about that. I knew what I was getting in terms of just an initial.

First, a real signature is never considered "too good."

And...that's a great point about just an initial, and how different they can look. For example, try this exercise. Do your signature, relatively fast, 10 times in a row. It will look very similar each time. Maybe not the first letter, but the rest of it. Now, do just your first initial 10 times, really fast -- and you get a wide variety. Not a good thing.

I beg to differ, when the person signing is borderline blind, there is such a thing as a "too good" signature.

Okay then try this. Shut your eyes, and sign your name 5 times. Guess what? It will look pretty good, and a lot like your regular signature.

I really want to beleive its even a genuine 'e' however after the liam gallagher farce I'm uncertain

anyone could replicate these 'graphs. It was obvious from the outset that when anyone received a 12x12 signed with the letter 'E' , any authenticity would need to be taken on faith.... it's a nice print with a potentially genuine Elton 'E' ....
