What is the most cash you've ever spent on a single autograph? Upload a pic and show whatcha got!

Everybody loves to brag when they get a great item for a great price. How bout that time you wanted something so much you didn't care what you had to spend to get it! What is the most cash you've ever spent on a single autograph? How much would you be willing to spend on an autograph that you've been on the hunt for?

Judy Garland, Bela Lugosi. Both special/unique. Over 2K for the Garland.

It is much more fun to show the opposite. I found what I paid for this- $49!

Around $13K for a fully signed Introducing . . . the Beatles

Not a lot tbh.

As a gift, £150 a few years back for a PSA 12 x 14 Clint Eastwood photo, classic Outlaw Josey Wales two revolver pose.

For myself, £95 for a Robert Shaw album page.

I have an opposite of the opposite lol.. 15ish years ago I decided I was done with sports completely. My childhood idols were retired and I didnt want to get suckered into the sports craze any longer. I listed everything I owned at 99 cents at auction and let the buyers determine the value. I had 7 UDA Jordan autographs, a few Kobe autos and LeBron book and auto card with a ton of less valuable items included. The big 3 guys all ended between $250 to $500 each. Someone picked up some great deals. Im not even upset about how much they are worth today. I made my choice for a reason and made peace with it..

The worst thing I let go that i added to the sports lot was a Ghostbusters photo signed in person by Ramis, Murray and Aykroyd. Murray i thought was easy because an ex girlfriend worked at a golf club in the Chicago suburbs and would run into him at least once a year. Ramis was doing events around Chicago and I met him at Columbia College when he debated the movie Happiness. Aykroyd was busy with his cross country bottle signings. The reason I sold it was Ramis signed in a dark area and it always upset me. I was going to hunt them all down again. The photo sold for $80 and with all the money I made from the sports collection, I just dealt with it. This paid off my college debt.

Ramis died, Murray became harder to get and Aykroyd stopped touring. I still have 11 items signed by Ramis hoping ill find my chance to add the other 2 but so far no luck. I also found someone posted the photo I sold years ago on these forums. I tried to reach out but they never responded. That still stings. But it led me on a major hunt for a replacement item which is when I found my SNL vinyl for $300 that I recently added Chevy Chase to for an extra $130

Anyways, This is why I vowed to never let go of my collection again unless I was broke and it was a life or death situation

So now, to answer the real question. The most I ever paid (technically its for my wife) is $700 for the Carpenters vinyl I just posted about. Still looking for 100% confirmation on it being authentic and will ask JSA later this month but I believe its ok (I overthink and second guess anyone deceased of high value - not a bad thing to do. Multiple opinions are the best security). I have time to figure it out and still get most of my money back if anything so im not worried.

The 2nd most was over $500 for an authenticated Madonna letter that came with her children's book. I wanted one for years but could never find a deal. News broke she almost died not too long ago and that lit the fire inside of me.
