yes they are expensive, also you need a lot of room to hang them

Indeed! Case in point - I bought this rare back stamped original German photograph shown at an exhibit in 1939 to compliment my 1939 New York World's Fair collection and I have no where to hang it! It is 16" x 20" - click for full image:
