The Vintage Signature of Jackie Gleason 1916-1987 "Ralph Kramden" 54 exemplars, All Known Secretarials and Preprints/Stamps.

The above vintage unique candid was from Gleason's final Estate sale.

Hi All,

In keeping with the format of the other threads about the vintage signatures of the main cast members of this beloved TV classic, this will, unlike my 4 part Richard Burton Signature Study, not be an in-depth illustrated biographical recount but a collection of authentic signatures presented in chronological order. This thread will be added to continually as I go through my exemplars. The initial iteration is presented below; much more will be added. This is intended to supersede all previous Gleason threads.. There are some 50 exemplars a long with all known secretarials, their names and periods with examples and link to even more.

I REALLY did not to get into Gleason's secretarial signatures as that is a whole book, but since that is what you will most likely encounter I should:

That is a very nice example.  Of course, I love green ink.

Yes, that is a wonderful 70's lighter green. It really works well. Very unusual to see anything other than blue ballpoint for the 70's. I did see one in pencil though.

I just added a superb green ink BAS Gleason 8x10 c.1950.

I just added a nice ballpoint 1977 Smokey and the Bandit example to the main article.

I just added a wonderful 1980's PSA slabbed ballpoint Gleason.

Ralph Kramden's pin:

My new baby:

v1955 CIO TWU Transit Workers Union New York City NYC Subway Button - Picture 1 of 2

It is hard to see but both dated 1955. Gleason was given one of these pins when he was awarded "honorary bus driver" of 5th avenue. Very happy here.

Here is the pin on Gleason's 1950's Bis Driver uniform:

I am so happy to have this pin!

No one finds his cool?

Great item for sure. I think, if I understand it correctly.... 🤔

So, JG was given the pin in real life and put it on his uniform?  And you found the same vintage pin?

Yes, exactly! :-)
