They are not allowed on ebay if that helps. They are not on the "banned" list, but ebay will still pull any item PAAS authenticated.

I dont think that is true, they do allow PAAS stuff on ebay I saw one just the other day, the banned list are not allowed to be listed and they are not on the list.

You might see one or two PAAS items on there from time to time, but that's only because ebay hasn't found it yet. And also if it is dual authenticated by PAAS and one of the big three (PSA, JSA, GAI) they will allow it to stay. There used to be hundreds of PAAS items on ebay, not anymore.

Then you cant say they are not allowed can you? If they are NOT ON THE BANNED LIST then some must be good and they look at them on their own merits unlike all of JSA and PSa which are not always correct?

Looks like "pakratsrus" never did a whole lot of business on ebay and hasn't done any for a while. Did you buy a bad item from them?

Pakratsrus1? I remember some of his stuff. Some good. Some bad - probably cares little about authenticity, but gets in a boatload of items somehow.

Is that the seller who has an endless inventory of classic hollywood and never has scans? If so, I seem to recall when he used to have scans.

Not showing scans should tell you everything you need to know. Ask yourself, why would a seller NOT show scans of an item he is trying to sell?

Your question is a simple one, Susan. If not PSA or JSA, who do I trust? Myself. I think it's important that collectors learn the autographs they want and become comfortable with what they do end up purchasing. You can't rely on a piece of notarized paper, at the end of the day it's just paper. You create your own peace of mind by knowing what you're buying.
As for PAAS, I consider them a step above GA/GAI or STAT or Garo, but they make a lot of mistakes - seemingly mostly out of ignorance for what they're authenticating. I definitely wouldn't recommend a novice autograph collector buy an autograph with PAAS authentication they haven't studied or had someone knowledgeable look at.

There's no third party authentication where I see the sticker/cert and instantly feel 100% good about the item. I agree with what Trapper says, that I always pass on GAI/PAAS stuff, given that they "authenticate" just about everything under the sun. While PSA and JSA have decidedly much better reputations, I don't think that many people on this forum see them as a magic wand, as we've seen mistakes by both. Unfortunately, many collectors do.

For sure not Global Authentics! They are one of the worst still allowed on eBay. There is rarely anything that I have seen from GAI that looks good. They all look fake and like the just mass produce the COA cards and stickers and hand them all out. I never have bought anything with GAI sticker on it or will I ever buy anything with their sticker on it.
