I was disapointed with the latest issue.

I felt it was lacking material, I am a younger collector and really enjoyed, the Metallica and Star Wars issuse felt there was alot of good material, but the current magazine I got didnt have anything that caught my eye.

I really miss the in-person scoop, I think you should bring that back, I also would like to hear more about current bands and actors. In-person stories are great, the best most article was about removing smugs from autographs.

no offense, just giving you my point of view

Jerry,
The In-Person Scoops are still there. The March issue has them on pages 20 & 21.
I really liked in the older issues, how each month there would be an in-person scoop. I think the ladys name was
Y. Woolf. I perfer hearing about the hunt/what the celebs would and wouldnt sign ect.
Thanks for your feedback--it's important. Sorry you didn't like March. We try to put things for everyone into each issue, but some are heavier one way than another. Tell me what you'd like to see and I'll bring it up in an editorial meeting.

You've been reading us for a long time. Yolanda Woolf hasn't worked since long before I've been with the magazine--that's 2004. I think it makes sense to add that angle to Scoops. We'll still show reader experiences, since a lot of people love that, but we'll see what we can do. Thanks for the suggestion.

Now tell me what else.

Steve
Thats sad news, I used to love reading about her autograph hunts. Man
it was her storied that really steped my game up in collecting
Steve

June magazine was a home run, loved it full of great stuff. Loved reading about Stephen Duncan and his collection. I wish I was older in the 90's when EBAY wasnt around and more top notch artist signed more high dallor items like guitars. I personally started collecting when I was 12 years old around 94 and it was basketball and baseball cards, from there it moved to 8x10 to jerseys...Around my senior year it was Game worn shoes and even bigger items like posters and guitars...I think it looks alot more classie to display a guitar or poster over just a 8x10

but just wanted to give you the thumbs up on such a good issue, i love hearing storys from die hard in-person collectors like myself
Steve,

There used to be a "10 questions with so and so" in each article. That was always a fun and entertaining piece to read. It's always neat to see what the celebs have to say in response to certain questions, especially from some of the older ones. With my TTM collecting, it always fascinates me to get a letter back in the mail from an oldtimer who tells me about stricking out Mickey Mantle or playing with Jackie Robinson. I'd enjoy seeing that again in some fashion.

Reading this magazine each month is like going to Home Town Buffet. Though not everything on the menu I would put on my plate, there is more than enough that meets the eye.

Jerry, though not all the articles fit my collection needs, I approach all the articles as a means to learn about this entire industry and what is out there. I have no interest in political signatures, but find the research and stories absolutelly fascinating reading.
I think it would be fun to hear about the collectors and what they collect and how they collect it. I would say my expertise would be in the comic and sci-fi industry since I deal directly with the creators on a regular basis and do several conventions a year with them to raise money for the charity I work with Hero Initiative.

We raise money to help comic book creators in their time of need and this would be a great way to bring things like this in to the mainstream.
I love the sci fi scene and all the conventions. Please never get rid of this. There are many of us who go to these conventions and love to read about it.
